Be Self-Aware

Learn Emotional Intelligence, Self-Awareness and Resilience

Yes, children are resilient, but resilient children become adults with statistically higher rates of anxiety, depression, addiction and destructive behaviors. To proactively address this fact, we teach children to be aware of the subconscious reasons for their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. As humans, we all learn subconscious lessons from dangerous and life-threatening experiences in order to stay safe and survive. While this subconscious logic has helped humans survive for thousands of years, it has also led to PTSD, irrational fears and panic attacks. When a child experiences trauma or loss, they subconsciously learn that life will end in the blink of an eye, that the worst will happen when least expected, that lack of control equals danger. It can become impossible for the rational conscious mind to convince the subconscious that the world is safe. In order to avoid additional suffering and to thrive as adults, grieving children must become aware of the subconscious reasons for their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. We are here to teach emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
