1:1 Support

Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as EFT tapping, is an evidence-based technique that allows you to literally “tap” into the subconscious beliefs and emotions that cause negative thought and behavior patterns.  Traditional psychiatrists have been using “eye movement desensitization” for years to help patients heal from trauma and repressed memories. EFT combines “eye movement desensitization” with accupressure to help participants identify, verbalize and ease anxiety and other types of physical and emotional suffering. When you tap, you can focus on removing an unwanted emotion, behavior or physical symptom, or you can focus on achieving a specific goal.  The best part is, after you learn how to tap with a licensed EFT practitioner, you can also tap on your own.

Studies by the U.S. National Library of Medicine show that EFT is significantly more effective than traditional therapy for healing symptoms of PTSD and other emotional traumas. Specifically, one NCBI study found that after just six one-hour sessions of EFT, “90% of the EFT group no longer met PTSD clinical criteria, compared with 4% in the SOC/WL group” (traditional social and cognitive therapy). Even after a six month wait period with no follow-up EFT sessions, results remained completely unchanged for 80% of the EFT group. This study and many other peer-reviewed studies prove that EFT is one of the most effective, if not the most effective way to alleviate anxiety, depression and other emotional, physical and behavioral effects of trauma.

In the words of EFT Universe: “EFT tapping is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress. Once the distress is reduced or removed, the body can often rebalance itself, and accelerate healing. EFT uses elements of Cognitive Therapy and Exposure Therapy, and combines them with Acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on 12 acupuncture points. Over 100 papers published in peer-reviewed medical and psychology journals, including dozens of clinical trials, have demonstrated that EFT is effective for phobias, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, pain, and other problems.” Schedule an EFT session or free 30-minute phone consultation to start EFT tapping today.
